Cold Shot by Dani Pettrey - Book Review

  Cold Shot!  Sounds good.  I received his book from Bethany House to review.  I had read the story summary, and it sounded good.  But when I opened the book and began to read, I was hooked.  This book was amazing. 

  It is Book 1 of a new series by Dani Pettrey.  I think this may be the first of her books that I have read, but it will definitely not be the last.  The series is called Chesapeake Valor Series.  It is set in Gettysburg, PA, and the Baltimore, MD areas.  I must admit, I'm excited to read Book 2. 

  This story is about a group of friends who band together to solve a cold case murder.  Among these friends is an FBI agent, a former Army sniper turned Baltimore PD officer turned National Park Ranger, a crime scene analyst, and a forensic anthropologist. 

  It is an action filled mystery with a romantic twist.  I must admit that it was extremely hard to put down.  Every chapter left you longing to turn the page and start the next one.  I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a good murder mystery.  This book was clean all the way through.  No cursing and no sex.  It also had a great emphasis on how God can use the worst of circumstances to make a positive difference in our lives. 

  I did receive this book free of charge from Bethany House Publishers in exchange for my honest review.  I give this book a 5 out of 5 star rating.  I really was that awesome.  I can't wait for the next one to come out.
