1000 Days by Jonathan Falwell

I was excited to get my copy of 1000 Days by Jonathan Falwell and it only took a few pages of reading for me to know that I wasn't going to be disappointed. It seemed that literally every page there was something that stood out to me. I want to read this book again someday and journal those thought provoking statements that I found. The book covers the approximately 1000 days that Jesus spent ministering while He was here on earth. Each chapter covers a topic that Jesus taught about or an event that was a highlight of Jesus' ministry. Things like the restlessness of a person until they find new life in Christ, finding true and lasting happiness, finding peace, enduring temptation, braving the storms of life, hypocrisy, and other things all culminating to the cross and the resurrection. All important things beneficial to a new Christian or a seasoned saint. I also enjoyed the glimpses of the culture of Jesus’ day that add so much meaning to the familiar accounts of Jesus’ life, giving more depth to what we read. This book was simply written, easy to understand, but very challenging. I highly recommend this book!
