The War on Christmas by Bodie Hodge - book review

Is there really a war on the Holiday that we know as Christmas?  Bodie Hodge breaks down the true meaning and the misconceptions about Christmas in this wonderful book produced by Answers in Genesis.
He begins with a detailed explanation of why Jesus came, and continues with a very detailed explanation of the name, origin, and timeline of the events surrounding Christ's birth.  I believe that Christians could learn from this, and I also believe it would be wonderful for non-Christians as well.
I believe the world is full of many people who have been misinformed through secular media and public school textbooks.  So many have no idea who Jesus really is and why He came.  They have no understanding of the true meaning of Christmas.  So I believe this book can serve as a great evangelistic tool to reach the world with the truth.
Probably one of the most interesting sections of this well presented book is the section on the misconceptions of Christmas.  It's actually quite funny to read about the attempts to take Christ out of Christmas.  For the most part, unknown to those who are attempting to do so, they are actually putting Him back in it.  Things like X-mas really means Christmas, because X is actually the Greek symbol for Christ.  And Holiday literally means Holy Day.
There is so much in this book that I cannot begin to describe the depth of knowledge that is presented.  Overall, it's a great book for everyone.  I give it a 5 out of 5.  I received this book in return for my unbiased review.

God Bless,

Marcus
