I am Second. The words bring about a lot of thoughts about what that means. When you watch the video's that are presented on the site www.iamsecond.com, you will come to understand that "I am second" is a verbal acknowledgment that God is #1 in my life. The stories on this site deal with various issues such as abuse, death, abortion, anger, disappointment, divorce, etc.
I watched a video of Josh Canales. He was a college baseball player who hit a line drive in batting practice that hit a teammate in the back of the head, killing him. He tells of the moments at the hospital, waiting to hear if his friend would live or die. He describes the moment he first saw the parents of his friend and their attitude of forgiveness. He continues to talk about feeling God's call on his heart to follow in his father's footsteps to be a pastor. Ultimately, he left baseball in order to be a pastor.
